Lead Times

Welcome to Leather Repair & Restore's Lead Times

Here you will find all our approximate lead times on repairs.  The lead times stated do not include collection and delivery lead times, these are dependent on various factors like which carrier is being used or if being collected in house, if unsure please ask.

Sofa Cushions

From collection of the seat foams or the seat cushion cover we aim to have the the items returned and fitted within 7 - 20 working days. These are approximated times sales and are dependent on current work loads of our technicians and from the foam convertors undertaking the profiling. These are custom made for your furniture and are not stock cushions.

Panel Replacement

We will send a technician to your home to collect the faulty cover. If the cover is fixed to your furniture our upholsterer will remove the cover and return to one of our workshops where we will match the leather up in colour and grain. We aim to have the the items returned and fitted within 7 - 20 working days. These are approximated times sales and are dependent on current work loads of our technicians and the local workshop.

Re Upholstery

Lead Times

We will arrange for the furniture to be collected from your home from a 3rd party furniture courier company who will arrange the collection and delivery direct with yourself and arrange for the furniture to be sent to one of our upholstery workshops. The average lead time from collection to re delivery is 4 - 6 weeks, this is dependent on current work loads and the volume of works being undertaken. Please check current lead time prior to collection.

Bags & Coat RepairsBag and Coat repairs are a mail order service we do not offer a drop of to our workshop these are collection and delivery only, you are able to use the My Hermes drop off shops, My Hermes is a 3 - 5 working day service.

 

 

 

 

 

Scuff Repairs

Scuff Repairs are undertaken in approximately two to three weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Stain RepairsLead Times

Stain Repairs are undertaken in approximately two to four weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Rips and Tear Repairs

Rips and Tear Repairs are undertaken in approximately two to four weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Colour Restores Bags & Coats

Colour Restores  are undertaken in approximately  four to six weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Piping Repairs

Piping Repairs are undertaken in approximately four to six weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Panel Replacements

Panel Replacements are undertaken in approximately four to six weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.  This lead time can variety due to the vast amount of Leather types.

Zip Repairs

Zip Repairs are undertaken in approximately ten to fourteen weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time. This lead time is for standard stock colours of zips, most designer bags and coat zips are special order and can take a further four weeks to come from the supplier.

Button Replacements

Button Replacements are undertaken in approximately two to four weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.  This lead time can variety due to the vast amount of button shapes, sizes and colours, these are special order items.

Lining Repairs

Lining Repairs are undertaken in approximately ten to fourteen weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time. This lead time is for standard stock colours of Brown, Black, Beige.  Some over colours are available as a special order.

Sewing Repairs

Sewing Repairs are undertaken in approximately two to four weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.

Clasp Replacements

Clasp Replacments are undertaken in approximately two to four weeks, this is dependant on the workshops current workload, collection and delivery is not included in the lead time.  We hold a large stock of parts but sometimes these will be a special order so lead times can increase.

Collection & Delivery

We use My Hermes for our collection and delivery service. This has already been incorporated in the price you have been quoted. My Hermes offer a collection service Monday - Saturday and aim to delivery within 2 - 5 business days. This is not included in the above lead times and again is a approbated service by them. There compensation level is set at £25 as standard this can be increased at your cost should you require. You are welcome to post the item direct should you require.

Please keep your tracking number which can be found on the label you have been sent this way you can track your package.  We do not keep hold of this information due to the volume of orders received daily.

Drop off & Collection

Due to the high volume of bags and coats that we process we do not offer this as a service, we offer a mail order service only where the carrier will collect and drop of at the same time each day this enables us to concentrate on the repairs being undertaken.  We process each job in turn and are unable to offer on the spot repairs, all quotes are provided online by the information provided.

Updates Bag & Coats

Once your item has been collected by MyHermes you are able to track you parcel to one of our repair centres using there Track Parcel.  MyHermes is a 3-5 working day delivery company, this is the lead time they take to process your item.  Once your item reaches the repair centre your item will be worked on in turn as they arrive and will aim to complete in the lead-times given above.  Due to the volumes of items in for repair at the repair centre are unable to give us updates on repairs.  Once your item is ready for return it will be wrapped labeled and we will be informed it is ready for dispatch where we will advise you your item is ready for return.
